It's starting to come together, folks! Flooring and cabinetry has been fully installed, walls and ceilings have been painted, and countertops are being put in as I type. This project features custom cabinetry from AcCent Precision Wood Products, Cambria quartz countertops with blue, shimmering accents, and new, engineered vinyl flooring. The windows in the sunroom are fully installed and allowing for natural light to pour through. In the next few weeks, appliances will be brought in, backsplash installed, along with electrical and plumbing finishes. The next update will feature all of the finishing details, check back in mid-March for the final product!
Happy February! We are smack in the middle of our current project, a main floor remodel in Wedgewood Heights in Woodbury. We added windows to the sunroom, laid down new engineered vinyl flooring, and the drywall is complete. Up next, cabinetry will be installed, along with the new fireplace, countertops, and smaller details. The top slideshow is the original space, the bottom slideshow shows the progress made. Check back soon for another update!
Happy 2017 Everyone! Our first project of the new year is a big one, a main floor remodel in Woodbury. We are completely gutting and re-doing the kitchen, adding larger windows in the sunroom, building a new dry bar in the family room along with refreshing the fireplace, and opening up the sunroom to the adjecent spaces to bring in more natural light. The top slideshow is the space prior to demo and framing and the bottom slideshow is the current state of the project. Drywall starts going up on Friday and cabinetry will start to go in at the end of the month. Check back at the end of January for and update!
Happy end of election season folks, we made it! Here are the *mostly* complete photos of our most recent project. We moved a few things around, created a water closet, and opened up the master closet. The bathroom is much more functional and looks and feels more fresh. The before photos are in the top slideshow and the after photos are on the bottom slideshow. Be on the look out for professional photos on our Facebook page. On to the next project!
Happy Fall everyone! We are currently working on a master bathroom in the Wedgewood Heights neighborhood in Woodbury. Prior to demo and drywall, the closet and the bathroom were situated right next to each other, with separate entrances to both spaces. We closed off the entrance to the closet and created a pass through in the bathroom. Right now, the closet area is being used as a workspace for our subcontractors, so there aren't any progress photos of the closet at this time. Once completed, the closet will have custom shelving and cabinetry. For the bathroom, we removed the bathtub, created a separate private space for the toilet, and are installing a new walk-in, door-less shower. The vanity and sinks are being moved to each side of the doorway from the bedroom. This project is moving along nicely and we will hopefully have more progress photos up at the end of next week! Have a great weekend and enjoy the peak fall colors!
This mudroom has it all! It is directly off of the garage and doubles as a laundry room. It includes 2 locker cubbies with 4 hooks, a bottom shoe shelf, and top shelf for additional storage. One unique feature we added was a built-in wall cabinet right next to the garage door for keys, flashlights, and bug spray. Finally, extra cabinets for linens, towels, & more!
Does your mudroom or entryway resemble a landfill with tons of jackets, sporting goods, backpacks and leashes? Don't worry...you are not alone! Designing functional and stylish mudrooms and drop zone spaces are one of our favorite things to do at Novare Renovation & Design. We work with homeowners to determine their traffic patterns and their storage needs and then create a space that meets those needs perfectly.
Unfortunately, not all homes have the layout or space for a mudroom or even a logical space for a locker system. However, all homes, specifically kitchens, have room for a drop zone. A drop zone is a designated space for bills, keys, pens, pencils, and any other small items you want to keep organized. Think of it as a variation of a junk drawer, but with built in cubbies, shelves, hooks, and dividers for bills, coupons, and keys. Some drop zones, like the one pictured above, have legal sized drawers for important files and documents. A drop zone is a small design feature you can add to a kitchen or living space remodel to make your life a little bit simpler and organized.

The weekend is near and construction at this project is moving along nicely! Cabinets are in and the finishing touches are being applied as I type. The progress pictures in the bottom slideshow show how we've opened up the space to take advantage of the copious amounts of natural light coming off of Prestwick golf course. The bottom slideshow also shows the new direction of the staircase, the separation of the laundry room from the kitchen, and the new pantry complete with its own cabinets. The next update will feature the beautiful countertops and unique finishes that will make this kitchen and first floor remodel stand out! Look for update number three toward the end of the month and in the meantime, stay cool out there!
Welcome back to our blog and thank you for checking in! We are currently in the thick of a main floor remodel in Wedgewood Valley in Woodbury. There are several layout changes with this project. First, we swapped the direction of the stairs to the basement and opened up the walls between the foyer, great room, and kitchen to bring in natural light from Prestwick Golf Course. There was a laundry room/hallway off of the kitchen that lead to the bedroom hallway. We cut the space in half and put a wall up to create a butler's pantry off of the kitchen and a laundry room closer to the bedrooms. Along with changing the footprint of the main floor, we are renovating the kitchen! Once the cabinetry is in, we will be posting another update to show the progress along with the new hardwood through out.
Hello Friends! We are finishing up the details on this bathrooms project and are loving the modern updates and use of natural materials. A unique feature of the guest bathroom (this amateur photographer forgot to capture it) is the new skylight above the sink! With no windows, artificial light was once the only option for illuminating this dark space. The new skylight brings in a natural light that compliments the space well. The master bathroom features a unique in-mirror light along with angular sinks and plenty of storage for a spa-like experience at home. The before photos are in the top slideshow and the after photos are on the bottom. We are also working on a main floor remodel in Wedgewood in Woodbury. Look for an update on that project mid week!
